Rosemead Animal Hospital serves as a dependable local resource for pet owners in the Rosemead area, offering a range of veterinary services from routine check-ups and preventative care to more delicate needs like dental work and euthanasia. Located on Valley Boulevard, the hospital feels like a practical and straightforward spot where caregivers can bring their animals knowing the staff is experienced with a variety of situations.

Visitors tend to find the staff approachable and patient, especially when dealing with anxious or hard-to-handle pets. For example, those with shy or semi-feral cats can expect careful handling and a calm approach from the veterinary technicians, who take extra steps to ease animals into examinations. This kind of attention helps foster trust even with pets that aren’t the most cooperative, which can be a relief for worried owners.

Walk-ins are welcomed, which is a notable convenience in a busy city neighborhood where emergencies or sudden concerns often arise. Some customers note that the hospital provides clear explanations and a thorough review of options, indicating a focus on communication and transparency. Prices fall within a reasonable range locally, with some variation depending on the service, making it accessible for pet owners who want straightforward, honest advice without unnecessary upselling.

Because of its full pharmacy and range of specialized services, Rosemead Animal Hospital also suits pet parents preparing for travel or managing ongoing health needs. The atmosphere is more clinical than cozy, reflecting its function as a working medical environment rather than a place for socializing, but the team's attentiveness puts both pets and people at ease.

For those living nearby or passing through Rosemead, it’s a practical choice when timely, compassionate care is needed — especially if you value staff who take time to listen and explain. The hospital’s location on a busy thoroughfare means daytime visits are typical, and the staff’s flexibility with appointments offers some relief for last-minute care.

We had a great experience today with Dr. Santoso. She was really great, spent a lot of time with us explaining everything and going through different options for treatment. I highly recommend their services.

The staff is very kind, and they saw me without an appointment, which I really appreciated. The price of the vaccines was reasonable—about what you’d expect to pay in general. The only thing I disagree with is the cost of the physical exam, which was $52. Personally, I think that’s a bit too much, especially since the things mentioned during the exam are things almost anyone would already know just by looking. Other than that, the service was good and quick.

I had a semi feral cat (Tiger) that was sick and I wasn’t sure what Dr. Liu could do for him since I didn’t know if he ingested something bad or just what was wrong. Nor did I know how he would examine him since Tiger has never let me come close to him. When I brought Tiger in as a walk in Liv (vet tech) was exceptional. She used black thick gloves at first to handle him but he was calm enough so she handled him without gloves. She wasn’t scared nor did she mind the fleas on him! I’ve been trying to give him an oral flea medicine but was not successful yet. Long story short: the vet techs got his weight, temp and heart rate! Then, Dr. Liu was able to examine him and did not add on a bunch of tests which would had cost so much more. He told me what he could do (antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medications) then if he didn’t get better to do blood work next time. I was so grateful. Extremely grateful that they took care of him even if he’s a feral cat. It took me 1.5 days to trap Tiger to take him to the vet. Good veterinarian that doesn’t trick you like others I’ve been to. They even applied the flea medicine I brought. I’m grateful.

I came here with my dog Lola because she was really sick and I was convinced she was dying. Dr. Liu really explained all his concerns with his evaluation well and I felt as though he gave sound honest advice. I thought the prices were very fair and I’m glad to report that almost a week later, Lola has made a nearly full recovery. I also thought that the vet tech that helped take Lola’s vitals was very sweet and attentive (give her a raise). Thanks again to the team, this will be my new permanent vet.

Such a peaceful office. My Marley girl didn’t bark there at all. I was greeted with kindness upon walking in. The paperwork was a breeze and the doctor was very quick to come to our room. He was knowledgeable and caring. The exam went well. I’m grateful for the care for my girl. Thank you!
